Concrete
is one of the most widely used substances in the construction industry.
It's versatility and strength allow it to be used in a wide variety of
applications. Probably the most familiar use of concrete is as a traffic
surface. The first concrete street in the U.S. was placed in 1891 in Bellafontaine
Ohio, and still exists today! Since that first street was poured, we have
used concrete for millions of miles of roads, highways, sidewalks and
driveways. |

Although concrete overlay or
resurfacing products have been around for many decades, it's only been
in the last 10 years that viable systems for northern climates have been
developed that were cost effective enough for widespread use. Fairly recent
advancements in polymer and mix design technology have lead to Elite Crete's
system, which dominates the US overlay market because of its performance,
cost, ease of installation, versatility, and beauty. When our polymer
blends, white cement, various sized / shaped silica quartz aggregates,
and other components are mixed according to engineered and tested specifications,
it creates permanent, not temporary, concrete caps of remarkable beauty
and durability. These coatings are generally installed from 1/16"
up to 3/8" thick, with some applications even exceeding that thickness.
The versatility of our products and systems can often times be a bit
overwhelming, if not confusing. Few other architectural concrete overlay
company's have a product line with such options and finishes. Please browse
through our web site and consider how k2
can transform your project into a "one of a kind" work of art.
